Personal Savings Accounts

At Citizens Bank, we understand the importance of savings plans to help our customers reach their personal financial goals or have cash reserves for unexpected emergencies. Therefore, we offer a variety of services to assist you in having the money you need when you need it. All depository relationships are, of course, insured up to the applicable limits of the FDIC.

Statement Savings

With an initial minimum deposit of just $100.00, this account pays the current variable market rate of interest which is compounded quarterly and paid quarterly. There is no monthly charge for balances of $100.00 or more. A $1.00 monthly maintenance fee is assessed on minimum balances of less than $100.00. A $1.00 fee will be assessed for withdrawals in excess of one per month. This account also offers automatic transfer service from other Citizens Bank accounts and direct deposit service at no charge.

Transfers from a Personal Savings Account to other accounts by pre-authorized, automatic, or telephone are limited to six per statement cycle, with no more than three by check, draft, or similar order.

Christmas Club Savings

A Citizens Bank Christmas Club Account is an ideal way to save for Christmas Shopping. In October, you will receive a check for the amount you deposited plus interest – just in time for holiday shopping. Interest will be credited to your account when the club ends. (50 weeks)

Money Market Savings

A tiered money market investment account that earns interest at the prevailing rate adjusted on a weekly basis. The Performance Account requires an initial minimum deposit of $100.00 and earns interest at variable tiered rates. There is no monthly service charge with a balance of $2,500.00 or more. A fee of $10.00 per month is assessed if the account balance falls below $2,500.00. Transfers from a Money Market Performance Account to another account or to third parties by pre-authorized, automatic, or telephone transfer are limited to six per statement cycle with no more than three by check, draft or similar order to third persons.
